Service description

We demonstrate, test, benchmark, and evaluate advanced machine vision hardware, smart cameras, optical lenses, and specialized multispectral lighting configurations for industrial manufacturing. Our specialists evaluate 2D and 3D industrial cameras, high speed line scan sensors, edge AI embedded vision processors, and polarized illumination rigs under realistic factory operating conditions. The purpose is to help discrete manufacturers, OEMs, and machine builders select the optimal optical configuration, eliminating sensor integration risks, cutting hardware procurement costs by up to 30 percent, and ensuring submillimeter inspection repeatability.
Forventede resultater:

A documented technology screening and proof-of-concept evaluation of relevant vision solutions, including test observations, feasibility assessment, and recommendations for further development, supplier selection, or implementation.

Metodologi:

The service is delivered as a structured hardware testing process hosted in DTI VisionLab and Optical Benchmarking Testbed. Work packages include analysis of inspection geometries and line speeds, optical ray tracing and lens selection, calibrated lux and wavelength lighting trials, sensor trigger and frame rate stress testing, and delivery of a documented technical hardware selection report.

Customers must provide physical test workpieces with representative defect types and surface finishes, production line speed and field of view specifications, working distance constraints, and proprietary camera or lens hardware with interface datasheets (such as GigE Vision, USB3, CoaXPress, or MIPI CSI 2) if testing client owned devices.
