Danish hub
within the AI Matters project
The Danish node is located in Odense, Denmark with one member at Aarhus and another in Copenhagen. The node features four partner institutes.
The Node is well connected to the robotics industry and has significant experience in testing and experimentation services. Furthermore, the DTI and Odense Robotics in Odense supports ambitious robotics and drone entrepreneurs from Denmark and abroad by providing world-class incubator facilities.
The Node targets for example technologies for:
- Collaborative robot applications testing
- AMR system testing
- Drone system testing
- Computer vision testing
In a variety of application industries, like:
- BioSolutions
- Robotics
- Pharma / Life Science.
Odense Robotics, based in Odense, is Denmark's leading cluster for robotics and automation. The cluster unites companies, researchers, and experts to foster innovation and develop advanced robotic solutions across various industries. Odense Robotics plays a pivotal role in positioning Denmark as a global leader in robotics.
FORCE Technology and the Danish Technological Institute, both located near Copenhagen, are leading institutions in technological innovation and consultancy. FORCE Technology in Brøndby specializes in testing, inspection, and certification, while the Danish Technological Institute in Taastrup focuses on applied research and technological development. Together, they support businesses in adopting advanced technologies and improving processes across various industries.

Denmark’s Robotics and AI Ecosystem
Denmark is home to more than 500 companies specializing in robotics, automation, and drones, employing over 17,500 people as of 2023. This booming industry positions Denmark as a leading player in technological innovation. To further capitalize on this market potential, the Danish Node serves as a foundational infrastructure that supports the rigorous testing and validation of AI-integrated products before their introduction to the European Union market. It is particularly tailored for technology developers working on cutting-edge solutions in collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robotics, drones, and other advanced technologies.
Real-World Experimentation and Industry Synergies
The Danish Node not only provides testing capabilities but also offers unique opportunities for technology developers to experiment with their innovations in real-world settings. By fostering collaborations between AI developers and manufacturing companies, the Node strengthens the uptake of AI across industries like robotics, biosolutions, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences. This synergy between technology development and manufacturing allows businesses to refine their solutions and accelerate their market readiness in the EU.
